Hi guys, here is a quick update about the Sunseeker rally this weekend, the official website is http://www.rallyesunseeker.co.uk/
“We’ve done it – we’ve finished!” That was the beginning of the volley of elation from the first Kiwi team to complete the WRC Rally of Norway held this past weekend (16-18 February 2007).
7 months after we started planning our dream trip to compete in the Norwegian round of the WRC, we have achieved the goal of not only getting to the other side of the world to compete, but we have achived a finish! And finishing was no easy task!
We have had a simply fantastic day. Unfortunately the first stage was cancelled due to accidents but the next few stages were beautiful although extremely tricky in places. Many of them were soft snow with 6 foot high snow bank next to them.
Our first day was massively dramatic... We are running dead last, we lost over 1hr in the stages due to dramas! Anyway, here is a quick summary of the day,
NZ’s first Kiwi team to contest the Norwegian WRC Rally had a lucky escape after an 1000kg bull Elk ran across their path during there 25 hour reconisance of the Norwegian rally.
